A tall, stately plant that attracts a lot of pollinators, Tall Tickseed makes a great addition to a meadow or large planting area.  Goldfinches and other birds also love the seeds.

Remember the song Lean On Me by Bill Withers?  Tall Tickseed likes to have friends to lean on, otherwise it might flop a bit.  Another way to mitigate the flopping is to cut the stem down a few inches in June.  This trick also is helpful if you want a shorter plant.

Tall Tickseed looks best when allowed to colonize.  Try it with tall grasses, like Big Bluestem and Switchgrass, and New England and other tall asters.
