Gray Birch features bright-green triangular leaves and chalky white non-exfoliating bark that darkens with age (don't we all!).

A great tree for moist areas, Gray Birch does well in full sun to part shade.  It's a short-lived tree but valuable to wildlife, feeding and sheltering birds and hosting hundreds of moth and butterfly larvae.
